Home! Home! We're finally HOME!!!!!

We made it!!!! We made it!!!! Back on American soil!!!!

Emily was an absolute trooper on the flight from China to LA (actually the whole trip). It was 13 hours and the only time she fussed was when I changed her. She is just a little angel.

We were blessed enough to have all 3 seats to ourselves (nobody beside us) and we had bulk head seating with a bassinet - which allowed Emily to get some sleep, but John and I had a hard time getting much rest.

Emily's first picture in the United States. Taken outside the International Airport terminal at LAX.

Catching some zzzzzz's on the floor of LAX waiting for our connecting flight. The first thing we did after landing (and after buying some diapers....we were down to 1!!!) was get some Burger King. It's John's favorite - so we went with the Whoppers. LOL

December 28th - HOME TO KC!!!! FINALLY!!!!

After a short layover in Chicago we finally landed in KC to the greetings of family and friends!! It was wonderful.

Our plane coming in (Thanks to my bro and SIL for the following few pictures). :)

Here we come!!!!

And we have reached the family
Meeting my cousin Chapin for the first time. :)

It was so neat to have everyone greet us. My brother and SIL (with Chapin) were in from San Diego for the holidays, so they got to be there, John's sister and BIL were there, our parents were there, and my cousin John from Boston was in for the holidays so he got to be there also. Friends were there (Bill, Alice, Pastor Joe & Sharon - and even the Cubbage family was able to stop by while they were picking up relatives coming in on another flight). It was so great to see all those friendly faces after being away for almost 2 weeks.

We all went to Cracker Barrell after leaving the airport - and it was nice to get some American food in our systems. The sad part is, John and I were so exhausted that we could hardly enjoy the food. LOL
Happy Grandma
Chapin checking out the new toy his Mommy bought him

We all headed back to our house to visit - but on the way Emilia crashed out. With her mouth open no less. LOL
